We’re halfway through the summer holidays and the chaos is real! 😵
Between juggling work, keeping the kids entertained, and staring down the barrel of the back-to-school rush, it’s no wonder parents are feeling the pressure.
But what if you could outsource some of that mental load?

AI tools are everywhere and a hot topic at the moment. Whilst we are starting to make more active use of these in the workspace are we doing the same at home to help plan, organise, and prep for the new school year—without the overwhelm. Here are six short prompts to get started to simplify your life this September:👇
🔹 School Calendar Conversion
“Here’s a list of term dates—can you create an iCal file I can import into my calendar?” You could event just link the webpage to the term dates.
🔹 Meal Planning
“I’ve got chicken, rice, carrots and yoghurt. Can you build a 3-day lunch plan that’s kid-friendly and doesn’t need reheating?” - Clearly I need to also do my food shop order!
🔹 Routine Building
“Help me create a calm morning routine for two kids (ages 6 and 9) that gets us out the door by 08:15.”
🔹 Budgeting School Supplies
“I’ve got £150 to spend on school supplies for two kids. Can you create a list that prioritises essentials?” You can add a link to the uniform page or be more specific about stationery.
🔹 Emotional Support
“My child is anxious about starting school. Can you suggest five gentle ways to ease their transition?”
BONUS TIPS!!
✨ Train your AI assistant to remember, school dates, and routines—so it becomes your virtual 'personal fixer' on demand.
✨ Create a category label of 'home admin' to associate to entries so AI can then scroll through your calendar and create checklists for you in future.
I would love to hear if you plan to give any of these a try!
